Refund policy

Returns & Right of Withdrawal

We want you to be truly happy with your jewelry piece.
That’s why you have two options:

  • Voluntary 30-day return policy

  • Statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (EU)


1. Voluntary 30-day return policy

You can return your order within 30 days of receiving it.

Conditions:

  • the item is in the same condition as when you received it

  • unworn, unused, with no signs of use

  • with tags attached and in the original packaging

  • you have a receipt or proof of purchase (e.g., order confirmation)

Returns must be sent to:

Once your return is approved, you will receive from us:

  • a return label (if agreed), and/or

  • clear instructions on where to send your parcel.

➡️ Important: We cannot accept items that are sent back without a prior return request.

Return shipping costs:
Unless stated otherwise, you are responsible for the cost of return shipping.
If we made a mistake (wrong or damaged item), we will cover the return shipping costs.


2. Damages & issues

Please check your order immediately upon delivery.

Contact us as soon as possible at be.youniq@be-youniq.com if:

  • the item is damaged, or

  • you received the wrong item.

Ideally, send us photos of the issue so we can review it quickly and find a solution (replacement, repair, or refund).


3. Exceptions to returns

The following items are excluded from returns unless there is a defect:

  • custom-made & personalized jewelry

  • gift cards

  • potentially hygiene-sensitive products (e.g., certain piercings, if you offer them in the future)

You may also exclude discounted items (“Sale”) from the voluntary 30-day return policy if you wish. If you want to do that, you can add:

Sale items are excluded from the voluntary 30-day return policy.
The statutory right of withdrawal remains unaffected.


4. Exchanges

Unfortunately, a direct exchange (returning an item and automatically receiving a replacement) is not possible.

Here’s how it works:

  1. You return the item (see “Returns”).

  2. After inspection, you receive a refund to your original payment method.

  3. You simply place a new order for the desired item.


5. EU right of withdrawal (14 days)

If your order is delivered to a country within the European Union, you also have the statutory right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days without giving any reason.

The 14-day period starts on the day you (or a designated recipient) receive the goods.

The same conditions apply here: the item must be unworn, unused, with tags attached and in the original packaging.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please email be.youniq@be-youniq.com and include your order number.

Your statutory right of withdrawal applies regardless of our voluntary 30-day return policy.


6. Refunds

Once your return has arrived and has been inspected, we will inform you by email of the outcome.

If the return is approved, we will refund the purchase amount to your original payment method.

Refunds are usually processed within a maximum of 10 business days after we confirm the return.

Please note: Depending on your bank or credit card provider, it may take a little longer for the refund to appear in your account.

7. 🛡️ 2-year warranty (statutory)

For all our handmade jewelry made from genuine gemstones and pearls, the statutory warranty period is 2 years.
It covers defects that already existed at the time the goods were handed over.

Please note:

  • Normal wear and tear, everyday scratches, improper use, impact damage, etc. are not covered.

  • Jewelry does not like: showering, swimming, sports, perfume, creams, cleaning products.

  • Store your pieces in a jewelry box or a soft pouch.

  • Every gemstone and pearl is a natural product — slight variations in color, structure, and pattern are normal and make your piece unique, not defective.


8. Uncollected parcels & incorrect address

If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect/incomplete address or because it was “not collected,” we may charge you the cost of reshipping.

Unclaimed returned parcels that you do not respond to for 30 days may be disposed of or donated to charity.


9. Short FAQ answer: “Is a direct exchange possible?”

Is a direct exchange of a returned item possible?
Unfortunately, a direct exchange is not possible. Once your return has arrived and has been inspected, we will refund the amount to your original payment method. You can then simply place a new order for the desired item.
